Serve in a Ministry at Legacy Church

Legacy Church doesn’t just happen week to week, it’s built and accomplished by everyday people just like you who desire to see “all people find new life in Christ”. Every believer is valuable and has a role to fulfill in the body of Christ. By serving alongside others you not only develop meaningful relationships but grow and help others grow in Christ.

Ways You Can Serve

(Background Check & Training Required)

If you sign up to help serve in Legacy Kidz, we will try to get you serving right away, shadowing another volunteer. Here are the areas available to serve in Legacy Kidz

Legacy Little Onez – Babies - Age 4. This is such a fun place that kids beg to be brought back! We teach them “God loves me.” (1 John 4:19) Little Onez play games, sing songs about Jesus, experience God’s Word in a small segment just for little hearts and begin to memorize Bible verses.

Legacy Kidz – PreK thru Grade 5 are dynamite!
We teach them “Jesus is my Savior and Friend.” (John 15:15) Legacy Kidz is rockin! Staffed with a friendly, smiling, multi-generational team who put kids first, students learn to worship our Lord, memorize bible verses, lead each other in prayer, and participate in bible lessons– all in a context of fun and hands-on learning! Legacy Kidz are also taught that they have gifts to give to God’s kingdom, and in Legacy Kidz those gifts are encouraged to develop naturally — whether they’re gifts of music or serving.

Check In – Our check-in workers are the “first contact” people for the families who attend our ministry. They welcome families and use our check-in kiosk to check children into our ministry, including printing name tags and parent claim/security tags.

(Background Check & Training Required)

Getting connected with our Jr High and High School students can be life-changing both for them and you. This is a great opportunity to see what goes on Wednesday nights with our students without all the pressure of being “in charge”. We will hook you up with another volunteer who will show you the ropes.

This ministry includes the following positions and areas for people to get involved and to serve. Greeters, Coffee Bar, Ushers, Hand Out Brochures, and Information Kiosk Volunteers. The goal of this team is to serve guests with excellence while they are here.

This is the perfect time to start serving communion, as we have established a monthly schedule. Our goal is to have teams rotating every other month for our morning service. Responsibilities are to pass the communion trays and offering baskets at the scheduled time in the service each week.

During the week, we often have administrative tasks that can be done by volunteers. You may help stuff mailings, make phone calls, work with our database, or any number of other tasks that might involve organizational or computer skills. This is an “as needed” so we don’t have a regular time when we meet together. If you are interested, we will put you on a contact list for when something like this comes up.

We could use volunteers to help keep our building and grounds maintained. If you’re a handyman, help us with upkeep and repair projects around the church. If you are interested, we will contact you about a time when you can come in to serve.

(Auditions required for some positions)

If you feel God’s call to lead others in worship, and he has gifted you with the talent to sing or play an instrument, sign up to audition for the Worship Team. Team members usually serve on Sunday Morning and need to be prepared to spend time rehearsing.

For an effective worship experience, we need technicians to set the mood for worship through lighting, sound levels, and slide presentation. If you’re interested, we’ll start you out by having you shadow one of our trained technicians.
