“Although my father and my mother have forsaken me, yet the Lord will take me up (adopt me as His child..) Psalm 27:10
Did you know that in this world there are countless thousands upon thousands of people waiting to be adopted? Waiting for someone to care enough to do something about their plight? Did you know one of those persons might be waiting, even today, for you?
You don’t have to have all together to help someone else. No. In fact, when we look at Jesus’ disciples, we see the very humanity Jesus brought to His team. They weren’t the most educated; they weren’t even always the most truthful; they weren’t the most passionate; they weren’t even very respected. But He picked them out. Ephesians 1:4 says “He chose us (actually picked us out for Himself as His own) in Christ before the foundation of the world.” He picked me out! Like the lost little puppy in the window waiting for an owner, Jesus came by and said, “She’s mine!”
We need to let people know! They’ve been chosen. Each of us was hand-picked by Jesus to become His. Adopted children can never be disinherited, did you know? So let’s not treat those chosen by Him with disdain, disrespect, or slight. No! Let’s welcome them in, even if it takes awhile for them to realize that great love He’s shown.
Some don’t know.
