What can I Expect at this year’s retreat?
Our fall women’s retreat is planned specifically for you and your friends to encounter Jesus in a unique get-away to encounter God. This 24-hour retreat is designed for you to have moments in extended times of prayer, in corporate worship, in small groups, and alone in His presence. Each moment is strategically planned for you to become more grounded in God’s love. You will want to make plans to attend every minute of this retreat!
Who is the guest speaker?
Kay Burnett, National Women’s Ministries Director, has a heart to influence others to passionately pursue God, press in to knowing Him in deeper ways, and devour His Word every day. She previously served as Arizona District Women’s Director for 8 years. One of Kay’s loves is travel, which has included trips to Botswana (including a photo safari in South Africa!), India, Israel, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Romania, and China. Kay met and began dating Jim Burnett her senior year in high school, and they have now been married 36 years. Before moving to Springfield, MO, they planted Northland Christian Assembly in Flagstaff. The Burnetts have a son, Tyler, who is married to Megan, and a daughter to Leandra, who is married to Rusty. Tyler and Megan have three daughters, Brynna, 13, Aurora, 11, and Kayla, 9. Rusty and Leandra have Greyson, 1 year.
Will there still be an after-party?
Yes, there will be an after-party following the Friday evening service. Enjoy a time of fun, fellowship, conversation, and laughs.
Will there be shopping?
Yes, we will have retreat t-shirts, resource materials, boutique items, SAGU pecans, and various other vendors for you to shop.
What are the lodging options at Lakeview?
There are two lodging options at Lakeview—lodge or cabin. (We prefer the Lodge)
Lodge rooms are modest, hotel-style rooms with two double beds and a private bathroom. Linens and towels are provided.
Cabins are dorm-style rooms with 10 bunk beds on each side. If your group stays in a cabin, half of them may need to sleep on a top bunk. There are several shower and restroom stalls located in each cabin. You must provide your own linens and towels.
What meals are included with my registration fee?
Friday dinner, Friday late night snack, Saturday Continental breakfast, and Saturday lunch are all included in your registration fee.
What if I don’t stay at Lakeview? Can I still participate in all the activities?
Yes, in fact, we encourage you to participate in all activities and meals to get the most out of the retreat. Besides the corporate worship services, you will have opportunities to spend time alone in prayer and reflection and meal times will provide small group discussions.
