Lead Like Jesus: Week 6

Pgs 36-43
“One thing I ask of the Lord, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to seek Him in His temple.” Psalm 27:4

Leadership requires that we put God first in our life before our other needs, but with so many distractions in our world it is easy to put our relationship with God on the back-burner. In everything we do, we should always seek out God, to seek out his love and his beauty. Even in the simplest of task we should seek out his will. In Psalm 3:6 the Lord says “seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.” It can be hard to see the importance of spending time with Jesus when we are distracted by bills, by family, by work, but the Lord says if we put him first the rest will fall into place.

All of us at some point are guilty of being distracted by the world, but the wonderful thing about our God is that no matter how many times we forget about Him, or put something else before Him, He is still there for us. Even when we aren’t following his path for us, He loves us and He is interceding for us. Never forget that God is with you in everything you do. Through the good and the bad.

To be leaders we need to continue to grow in our relationship with the Lord, continue to spend time with Him.

Spend time in His Word. Spend time in prayer. Continue to grow in your relationship with Christ and your leadership will grow with it.

Prayer: “Jesus, help me to always seek you out first in everything I do. Help me to make time for you in my daily life. Remind me to spend time in your spirit. I ask you to continue to grow my relationship with you. Amen”
